  • ✔ Facial assessment
  • ✔ Clinical photography

Why is assessment important?

Similar concerns often have very different underlying causes. Accurate diagnosis allows appropriate advice and avoids unnecessary treatment.

Why can’t I choose my treatment online?

Because different concerns can have multiple underlying causes.
Appropriate management begins with assessment rather than selecting a procedure.

Why don’t you offer cosmetic consultation by Telehealth?

Your first consultation is a key medical assessment. Dr Simone Doreian believes safe, personalised treatment requires a comprehensive face-to-face consultation.

During your appointment, Dr Doreian willTake your medical history and discuss your concerns and goals.

  • Assess your facial anatomy, skin quality, movement and proportions.
  • Determine whether treatment is appropriate and safe for you.
  • Explain the benefits, risks, limitations and recovery of treatment options.
  • Create a personalised treatment plan.

Key reasons Telehealth is unsuitable for initial consultations:

  • Many assessments cannot be performed accurately via photos or video.
  • In-person evaluation is essential for precise analysis of facial anatomy and movement.
  • Safety and ethical care require a thorough, hands-on medical assessment.
  • Informed decision-making is best supported through direct, face-to-face discussion.
Why might you recommend no treatment?

Because not every concern benefits from medical treatment. Our responsibility is to recommend what is clinically appropriate, which may include observation, skincare, lifestyle measures, referral to another health professional, or no treatment.

Are treatments safe?

Aesthetic treatments are not beauty treatments. They may involve prescription and administration of medications, and use of devices. Treatments can involve uncommon but potential risks to your health.
These will be discussed in detail with you during treatment planning and before procedures . Information for your later reference in pdf format is available at the bottom of our home page, in your booking and follow up correspondence.

Can I bring a friend / my pet / my children?

No. Our clinic is a quiet clinical space requiring full concentration, privacy, and is not an appropriate place with hazards for children.

Why don’t you advertise prices?

Australian regulations restrict the advertising of prescription medicines. Any recommended treatment, associated costs and alternatives will be discussed during your consultation where appropriate.

Why don’t you show before and after photos?

Australian medical advertising regulations restrict the use of before-and-after images for prescription cosmetic treatments outside of a consultation setting. During your consultation, we can discuss expected outcomes, limitations and risks as they relate to your individual circumstances.
